Configuring Rate Limiting

Broadcast Rate Limiting is a box-oriented feature which lets you configure threshold limits for either broadcast or multicast packets ingressing on a port for a given time interval (in packets/second). If the configured threshold exceeds on a port, the switch drops extra packets received. No SNMP trap or syslog is generated in case of congestion.
