Enabling or disabling a port

You can enable or disable a port using the CLI. This section covers the following commands:

"shutdown command for the port" (page 233)

"no shutdown command" (page 234)

shutdown command for the port

The shutdown [port <portlist>] command disables the port.

The syntax for the shutdown [port <portlist>] command is:

shutdown [port <portlist>]
