Enabling and disabling autosave

The Ethernet Routing Switch 2500 Series performs a check every 60 seconds to detect changes in the configuration file or a new log message in the nonvolatile storage. If any of these two events occurs, the switch automatically saves its configuration and the nonvolatile log to flash memory. Autosave also automatically saves your configuration information across reboots.

You can enable or disable this feature. When you disable autosave, changes in the configuration file are not saved to the flash memory.
