3Select Add File From Local.

4Specify the path and name of the device firmware file in the File Path and Name field, or click Browse to locate it.

5In the Device Type field, select the device model for the firmware from the drop-down list, or type the model name in the field (up to 64 characters using “0-9”, “a-z”, “A-Z”, “_”, “-”, “(”, “)”, “.”, or spaces).

6In the Firmware Version field, enter a descriptive name for the firmware file. You can enter up to 250 characters (using “0-9”, “a-z”, “A-Z”, “_”, “-”, “(”, “)”, “.”, or spaces).

7Click Apply to save the device firmware file to the download server.

28.2.1.2Adding Firmware From a Remote Source

Take the following steps to add firmware from a URL.

1Log into Vantage Access using a manager account and click the File Manager icon in the control panel.

2Click Device Firmware > Firmware Management and click Add to display the Add Firmware screen.

3Select Add File From Remote.

4Specify the firmware’s URL.

5Specify a server User Name and Password, if required.

6Specify a File Size, if necessary.

7In the Device Type field, select the device model for the firmware from the drop-down list, or type the model name in the field (up to 64 characters using “0-9”, “a-z”, “A-Z”, “_”, “-”, “(”, “)”, “.”, or spaces).

8In the Firmware Version field, enter a descriptive name for the firmware file. You can enter up to 250 characters (using “0-9”, “a-z”, “A-Z”, “_”, “-”, “(”, “)”, “.”, or spaces).

9Click Apply to save the device firmware file to the download server.

28.2.2Deleting a Device Firmware File

"You cannot delete a firmware file that is currently being used to perform firmware upgrade on a device.

Follow the steps below to delete a device firmware from the server (specified in the Download Server screen).

1Log into Vantage Access using a manager account and click the File Manager icon in the control panel.

2Click Device Firmware > Management and select one or more than one firmware files in the same screen.

3Click Delete.

4A pop-up screen displays. Click OK to start the file removal process.
