2.2Preparing to Install

Follow the steps below to copy the installation files to the computer(s).

1Log into the Linux computer as a root user

2Insert the Vantage Access CD into the CD-ROM and copy the installation files (.bin) from the Vantage Access CD to a directory in your computer (for example,./Home/ Access).

"You must install Vantage Access DB first.

2.3Installation Using the Wizard Screens

This section shows you how to install Vantage Access using the wizard screens.

2.3.1Installing Vantage Access DB

1In the folder where you stored the installation file, enter chmod +x Vantage_Access_DB.bin to set it to be executable.

2Enter ./Vantage_Access_DB.bin to start the installation process.

3The wizard screen displays. Click Next in each screen to continue.
