LO, Label Origin

This command positions labels relative to the current pen location. Use the LO command to center, left justify, or right justify labels. The label can be drawn above or below the current pen location and can also be offset by an amount equal to .25 times the point size (or 16 grid units [0.33 times the point size] for the Stick font).

The printer interprets the parameters as follows:

z No Parameters— Defaults the label origin. Equivalent to (LO1). z Position— The position numbers are graphically illustrated

 

below. Each dot represents the current pen location.

 

The label positions LO 11 through LO 19 differ from LO 1 through LO

 

9 only in that the labels are offset from the current pen location.

 

The label position 21 provides a PCL-compatible label origin. The

 

character(s) are printed at the same location as in PCL.

 

 

Notes

Label origins do not change text path. To change the text path, use

 

the Define Variable Text Path (DV) command.

 

Label position 21 is not shown in Figure 23-33 because the exact

 

location is dependent on the PCL position.
