Configuring E1 FrameLine Cards (MAX TNT, DSLTNT)

Overview of E1 FrameLine configuration

Channel-Usage for channel must be set to Unused-Channel.

For all other channels, Channel-Usage must be set to either Unused-Channel or Nailed-64-Channel.

Channel 17 is usable.

You cannot have the same nailed group on two different E1 lines.

Unlike the E1 card, channels in the same nailed group do not need to be contiguous. For example, channels 1 and 3 can be in same nailed group with channel 2 unused.

Only the following E1 profile parameters are applicable for the E1 FrameLine slot card:

Enabled

T-Online-Type

Frame-Type

Clock Source

Signaling-Mode

Channel-Usage

Nailed-Group

For complete information on configuring E1 lines, refer to Chapter 8, “Configuring E1 Cards.”
