RPSU Connector

The RPSU connector allows you to connect a backup power supply unit to the switch. Nortel Networks provides an (optional) high-power redundant power supply unit (HRPSU) for this purpose. The HRPSU is a hot-swappable power supply unit that provides uninterrupted operation to up to four BayStack 450 switches in the event that any of the switch power supplies fail.

Nortel Networks provides the HRPSU power rack (Order No. AA0002001) with four slots for power supply modules (Order No. AA0005003). Each HRPSU can support up to four BayStack 450 switches. Installation instructions are provided with the HRPSU.
