BayStack 450 10/100/1000 Series Switches
Note: All models of the BayStack 450 switch can be used interchangeably in the following network configuration examples.
Desktop Switch Application
Figure 1-6 shows a BayStack 450-24T switch used as a desktop switch, where desktop workstations are connected directly to switch ports.
This configuration provides dedicated 100 Mb/s connections to the network center, to the server, and up to 26 users. This configuration uses the optional 400-4TX MDA (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX MDA).
