Router Options – T1 Interface (L2 Protocol = FRE or PPP)

Action

1From the main menu, select ROUTER and press <ENTER>.

2Use the right arrow key to highlight CONFIG and press <ENTER>.

Select INTERFACES and press <ENTER>. Use the right arrow key to highlight the

3SETUP field for the T1 interface and press <ENTER>. Each PVC (frame relay) on the T1 interface defined in the DLCI MAP has a separate listing in the

ROUTER INTERFACES table.

4Set ACTIVE to YES to activate the virtual circuit.

5Select the desired ADDRESS MODE. Refer to Address Mode on page 122 for more details.

6Enter the Total Access 6XX LOCAL IP ADDRESS and corresponding IP NETMASK for the selected virtual circuit.

7Enter the IP address for the next hop router in the FAR-ENDIP ADDRESS field.

8For NAT configuration, refer to Appendix C. RFC1483 Quick Start (IP Routing with NAT) on page 179.

9Left arrow back to the main menu to save the changes.

Router Options – Setting the Default Gateway

Action

1From the main menu, select ROUTER and press <ENTER>.

2Use the right arrow key to highlight CONFIG and press <ENTER>.

3Select ROUTES and press <ENTER>. Set the DEFAULT GATEWAY field to the appropriate IP address.

4Left arrow back to the main menu to save the changes.
