Syntax: show optic <slot>
The <slot> variable specifies the slot in the switch chassis that you want to monitor optical information from.
Cleaning fiber optic modules
To avoid problems with the connection between the fiber optic module port and the fiber cable connector, Brocade strongly recommends cleaning both connectors before making this connection. In particular, dust can accumulate in either connector and cause problems such as reducing the optic launch power.
