NOTICE: To disconnect a network cable, first unplug the cable from your Tablet-PC and then unplug the cable from the network device.

4Disconnect all network cables from the Tablet-PC.

5Disconnect your Tablet-PC and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

6Close the display and turn the Tablet-PC upside-down on a flat work surface.

NOTICE: To avoid damaging the system board, you must remove the main battery before you service the Tablet-PC.

7Remove the main battery (see "Removing the Main Battery" on page 158).

8Turn the Tablet-PC top-side up.

9Open the display.

10Press the power button to ground the system board.

CAUTION: To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your Tablet-PC from the electrical outlet before opening the display.

NOTICE: Before touching anything inside your Tablet-PC, ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface, such as the metal at the back of the Tablet-PC. While you work, periodically touch an unpainted metal surface to dissipate static electricity, which could harm internal components.

11Remove any installed ExpressCards or Smart Cards from the appropriate slots (see "Removing an ExpressCard" on page 91).

12Remove the hard drive (see "Removing the Hard Drive" on page 160).
