9.0INITIAL SETUP MENU

Use the Initial Setup menu to set various recorder options for sound, picture, language and other features. Some settings may only be changed when the recorder is stopped while other options are unaffected by recorder activity. Settings that require a stopped disc are shown with an outline in the Initial Setup menu.

ENTER / Joystick

Note: The Setup menu screen closes automatically after 20 minutes of inactivity.

PRV-9000 Operating Instructions

SETUP

To access the Initial Setup menu, follow the directions below.

1.Press the SETUP button on the remote control.

2.Use the joystick to scroll down to Initial Setup on this menu.

3.Press ENTER to access the Initial Setup menu.

4.Use the joystick to scroll through the sub-menu and review settings.

5.Make changes as needed, pressing ENTER after a change.

6.Press SETUP to close the menu.

9.1Basic Settings

Besides programming the clock, discussed in Chapter 4: GETTING STARTED, section 4.1.1 Setting The Clock, use the Initial Setup Menu for the following options.

Optimized Rec(ording) – default setting: OFF

Tuner – Auto Channel, Manual CH, VCR Plus+

Video – TV Screen Size, Screen Size for Rec, Still Pictures

Video In/Out – Component, DV Link
