PRV-9000 Operating Instructions

(transition requires approximately 30 seconds)

Programs set to start recording at the same time causes the recorder to give priority to the program entered first

(ex: program line entry 4 and 7 start at the same time, program 4 begins recording)

Confirmation is unavailable during the following situations:

No discs is loaded

Non-recordable disc is loaded

Loaded disc is protected (see section 7.4.12 Protecting/Unprotecting an Original Title)

Loaded disc already contains the maximum number of titles (99 titles)

Note: If the disc is damaged, the recording may be incomplete or unsuccessful. The Confirm field may indicate that the sequence has recorded properly (Rec OK) however the recording can be defective.

12.3DV Recording Issues

DV, also known as IEE 1394-1995 and i.LINK®, supports input/output for audio, video, data and control signals on a single cable.

One of the following messages may appear on-screen when using the DV IN/OUT port.

No DV camera connected

The camcorder is not connected properly or the camcorder is switched OFF.

DV camera is recording

The camcorder is recording already so recording from the camcorder is impossible.

Can’t connect more than one DV camera at the same time

The recorder’s DV port supports a single camcorder at any given time.

No tape in the DV camera

A tape is missing from the camcorder.

DV camera is recording or is record-paused

The camcorder is in camera-mode or record-pause mode rather than in VTR.

DV camera playback canceled

Playback unexpectedly stops due to the tape running out or some other similar occurrence.
