PRV-9000 Operating Instructions

Alternate Method to Connect Cable or Satellite:

If the cable box or satellite receiver provides six or more scrambled channels, refer to the following diagram for assistance.

1. Connect RF cables as shown with the antenna/cable line connected to the cable box/satellite tuner.

2. Connect the recorder’s Audio Output 2 to the TV’s audio input using a stereo audio cable (not supplied).

3. Connect the recorder’s Video Output 2 to the TV’s video input using a BNC cable (not supplied).

4. Connect audio/video outputs from the cable box/satellite tuner to the recorder’s INPUT 2/AUTO REC posts using a stereo audio cable and a BNC video cable, respectively.

(enables watching/recording multiple- scrambled television broadcasts)

2.3 Alternative Connections (Front Panel)

Alternative connections encompass video and audio sources. The following diagrams are only setup suggestions for common types of products. Your equipment and setup may differ.

Become familiar the front ports (behind the lower left panel) before connecting any components. Reading from left to right, the ports are as follows:

1 - DV IN/OUT – combined input/output jack for digital camcorder access

2 - S-Video Input 3 (S-Video)connect to an S-Video output on an external device

3 - Video Input 3 (RCA pins) – connect to a composite video output on another device

4 - Audio L/R Input 3 (RCA pins) – connect to a stereo pair of audio outputs on another device

Note: For high-quality playback, consider sending audio and video signals through an AV receiver/amplifier.
