Jump In: Explore File-Based Video Transfer

You use the Log and Transfer window to preview file-based media mounted on your computer or another device. You can preview the footage using the transport controls. To transfer a clip into your Final Cut Pro project, you mark the beginning and end of the clip using the Mark In and Mark Out buttons, enter logging information, and then transfer the clip to your hard disk by adding it to the Transfer Queue.
