Superimpose a title over another clip:

1Drag the title clip at the beginning of the movie above Sample Clip 1 in the Timeline.

2Position the playhead over the gap at the beginning of the movie and choose Sequence > Close Gap.

3Press Option-R to render the clips if a red line appears above the clips.

4Play the movie to see how the superimposed title looks.

Reposition the superimposed title to fit the background clip:

1Position the playhead in the title clip in the Timeline so that you can see the title in the Canvas.

2Double-click the superimposed title clip in the Timeline to open it in the Viewer.

3Drag the text in the Viewer to a position that looks good against the background clip. You can also make other changes in the Controls tab.

4Click in the Timeline to make it active, and press Option-R to render the clip if needed.

5Play the movie to see the changes that you made.
