
Capture a single clip:
mm After setting In and Out points and entering logging information, click the Capture Clip button.

Final Cut Pro rewinds the tape and captures the footage as a media file on your hard disk. The new clip appears in the Browser.
Log additional clips without capturing them:
1Use the transport controls to set In and Out points in another clip that you want to capture.
2Enter logging information for the clip. Click the Slate button beside a logging field to increment the previously entered information by one number.
3Click the Log Clip button to log the clip information in the Browser without capturing the media on your hard disk. When the Log Clip dialog appears, enter a clip name and click
OK. Final Cut Pro records the clip and its logging information in the Browser. The icon for the clip has a red bar through it to indicate that the clip is offline, or not yet captured.
4Log another clip, setting In and Out points and entering logging information, then click the Log Clip button to log the clip information in the Browser. When the Log Clip dialog appears, enter a clip name and click OK.
