6In the Max. Tx MSDU Lifetime box, specify the maximum amount of time, from 500 ms to 250,000 ms (250 seconds), the MAP can hold an outbound frame in buffer storage. The default value is 2,000 ms

(2 seconds).

7In the Max. Rx MSDU Lifetime box, specify the maximum amount of time, from 500 ms to 250,000 ms (250 seconds), the MAP can hold an inbound frame in buffer storage. The default is 2000 ms (2 seconds).

8In the RTS Threshold box, specify the minimum length (256 to 3000 bytes) a frame can be for the MAP to use the Request-To-Send/Clear-To-Send (RTS/CTS) method to send the frame. Frames smaller than the RTS threshold are not sent using the RTS/CTS method. The default is 2346 bytes.

9In the Short Retry Limit box, specify the number of times (1 to 15) the MAP transmits an unacknowledged unicast frame that is shorter than the RTS threshold before discarding the frame. The default is 5.

10To advertise support of long preambles for 802.11b/g radios only, make sure Enable Long Preambles is selected.

To disable this option, clear Enable Long Preambles. By default, this option is enabled.

11Do one of the following:

„To configure RF Auto-Tuning, click Next and see “To configure RF Auto-Tuning”.

„To configure other radio profile parameters, click a button at the top of the wizard.

„To close the wizard and save the changes, click Finish.

To configure To configure RF Auto-Tuning, use the following procedure.

RF Auto-Tuning

1In the Create Radio Profile wizard, click Auto-Tune. The Auto-Tune page appears.

2To enable automatic configuration and tuning of the transmit power, select Yes next to Tune Transmit Power. This feature is disabled by default.

3To change the interval at which RF Auto-Tuning decides whether to change the power level on radios, change the value in the Tx. Power Tuning Interval box. You can specify from 1 to 65535 seconds. The default is 300 seconds.
