Changing Network Synchronization Options 467

3To set the amount of time that 3WXM waits for a connection to be established to a WX before trying to connect again, specify the timeout (1 to 30 seconds) in the Connect Timeout box. The default is 5 seconds.

4To set the number of times (0 to 5) 3WXM tries to reconnect to the WX after the original attempt, specify the value in the Retry Count box. The default is 3 times.

For example, if the retry count is 3, 3WXM attempts to establish a connection to a WX four times. If you specify 0, 3WXM does not attempt to establish a connection if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

5To have network status changes sent by email, select Enable e-mail notification.

To disable this option, clear Enable e-mail notification. By default, this option is disabled.

A message is sent when the status of the WX changes. If multiple status changes occur during a short span of time, 3WXM automatically sends one combined message rather than multiple individual messages.

6In the SMTP E-mail Server box, type the name of a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) email server.

7In the From E-mail box, type the email address of the person who sends the email notification.

8In the To E-mail box, type the email address of the person to receive email notification of network status change.

9Click Close to close the Preferences dialog box, or click another tab to continue making changes.
