Setting the Timezone You can specify the number of hours (and optionally the minutes) that the WX switch’s real-time clock is offset from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) — also known as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The time zone information is used by Network Time Protocol (NTP) if you enabled it.

You can also specify whether the WX modifies the clock during daylight savings time or similar summertime period.

To set up a time zone

1Do one of the following:

„Open the WX Switch wizard, then select Timezone under Management Services in the organizer list of the System and Administrative page.

„In the Organizer panel, select Management Services under a WX switch, then select Config > Edit.

2In the Name box, type the name for the time zone (1 to 16 alphanumeric characters, with no spaces or tabs).

3In the Offset Hours box, specify the number of hours (between -23 and 23) to subtract from or add to UTC.

4Optionally, in the Offset Minutes box, specify the number of minutes (between -59 to 59) to subtract from or add to UTC.

5Do one of the following:

„Go to “To set summertime information”.

„Select another item in the WX Switch wizard, if you are using this wizard.

„Click Finish to close the wizard and save changes.

To set summertime information

1In the DST Name box, type the name for the summertime offset (1 to 16 alphanumeric characters, with no spaces or tabs).

2In the Start Month list, select the month of the year when the time change starts.

3In the Start Week list, select the week of the month when the time change starts (First, Second, Third, Fourth, or Last).

4In the Start Day list, select the day of the week when the time change starts.
