Using SMS, you can set up thecircuit monitor to log the occurrence of any
alarm condition. Each time an alarm occurs it is entered into the alarm log.
The alarm log in the circuitmonitor stores the pickup and dropout points of
alarmsalong with the date and time associated withthese alarms. Youselect
whether the alarm log savesdata as first-in-first-out (FIFO) or filland hold.
Youcan also view and savethe alarm log to disk, and reset the alarm log to
clear the dataout of the circuit monitor’s memory.
The circuitmonitor stores alarm log data in nonvolatile memory. You define
thesize of the alarm log (the maximum number of events). When determining
the maximumnumber of events, consider the circuitmonitor’s total storage
capacity.See “Memory Allocation”on page 104 for additional memory
considerations.
The circuitmonitor records meter readings at regularly scheduled intervals
and stores thedata in up to 14 independent data log files in its memory.
Some data log filesare preconfigured at the factory. Youcan accept the
preconfigureddata logs or change them to meet yourspecific needs. Youcan
set up each data logto store the following information:
•Timed Interval—1second to 24 hours (how often the values are logged)
•First-In-First-Out (FIFO) orFill and Hold
•Valuesto be logged—up to 96 registers along with the date and time of
each log entry
Use SMS to clear eachdata log file, independently of the others, from the
circuitmonitor’s memory. For instructions on setting up and clearingdata log
files, refer to the SMS onlinehelpfile.
