Tabl e 101: Troubleshooting
Potential Problem Possible Cause Possible Solution
Thered maintenance LED is
illuminatedon the circuit monitor.
Whent he red maintenanc e LED is illuminate d, it
indicates a potential hard ware or firmware
problemin the circuit monitor.
Contactyour local sales representativefor assistance.
Thegreen control powerLED is
notilluminated on the circuit
monitor.
The circuit monitor is not receiv ing the
necessary power.
Verifythat the circuitmonitor line (L) andneutral (N)
terminals (termin als 25 and 27) are receiving the
necessarypower.
The display is blank after applying
control power to the circu it monitor.
The display is not receiving the nec essary
poweror co mmunications signa l from the circuit
monitor.
Verify that the display cable is prope rly inserted into the
connectorson the displayand the circuit monitor.
Thedata being displayedis
inaccurate or not what you expect .
Circuit monitor is gro unded incorrectly. Verifyt hat the circuit monit or is grounded as descr ibed in
Groundingthe Circuit Monitoronpage 54 of the
installation manual.
Incorrect setup va lues. Check that the correc t values have been ent ered for circuit
monitorsetup parameters (CT and PT ratings,System
Type,NominalFrequency, and so on). See Setting Up the
MeteringFunctions of the CircuitMonitoron page 16 for
setupinstructions.
Incorrectvoltage inputs. Checkcircuitmonitor voltageinput terminals (9,10, 11,12)
to verify that adequate vol tage is present.
Circuitmonitor is wired improperly. Check that all CTs andPTs are connected correctly
(properpolarity is observed)and that they are energized.
Check shorting t erminals. See Wir ing CTs, PTs, and
Control Power to the Circuit Moni toronpage 38 of the
installation manual for wiri ng diagrams. Initiate a wiring
checkfrom the circuit monitor display.
