This sectionis for users who do not have SMS and must set up alarms fr om
the circuitmonitor display. It explainshow to scale alarm setpoints.
Whenthe circuit monitor is equipped with a display,the display area is 4 x 20
characters,which limits the displaying of most metered quantitiesto five
characters(plus a positive or negative sign). The displaywill al so showthe
engineeringunits applied to that quantity

Todetermine the proper scaling of an alarm setpoint, view the register
numberfor the associated scale group.The scale factor is the number in the
Deccolumn for that register. For example,the register number for Scale D to
PhaseVolts is 3212. If the number in the Dec column is 1, the scalefactor is
10 (101=10). Remember that scalefactor 1 in Table61 on page 91 for Scale
GroupD is measured in kV.Therefore, to define an alarm setpoint of125 kV,
enter 12.5 because12.5 multiplied by 10 is 125. Below is a table listing the
scale groupsand their register numbers.
