Connecting your camcorder to a computer using the USB cable (For Windows users)

Installing the USB driver

Start the following operation without connecting the USB cable to the computer.

Connect the USB cable according to “Making the computer recognise your camcorder”.

If you are using Windows 2000, log in with permission of administrators.

If you are using Windows XP, log in with permission of computer administrators.

(1) Turn on a computer and allow Windows to load. If you have been using the computer, close all software.

(2) Insert the supplied CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of the computer. The application software starts up.

If the screen does not appear, double-click “My Computer” and then “ImageMixer” (CD-ROM Drive).

(3) Select “Handycam” on the screen.

Installation du pilote USB

Effectuez les opérations suivantes avant de raccorder le câble USB à l’ordinateur.

Raccordez le câble USB selon les instructions de « Reconnaissance du caméscope par l’ordinateur ».

Si vous utilisez Windows 2000, connectez-vous avec l’autorisation des administrateurs.

Si vous utilisez Windows XP, connectez-vous avec l’autorisation des administrateurs informatiques.

(1) Mettez l’ordinateur sous tension et attendez que Windows soit chargé. Si vous étiez en train d’utiliser votre ordinateur, fermez toutes les applications ouvertes.

(2) Insérez le CD-ROM fourni dans le lecteur de CD-ROM de votre ordinateur. Le logiciel d’application démarre.

Si l’écran de titre n’apparaît pas, double- cliquez sur « My Computer » (poste de travail), puis sur « ImageMixer » (lecteur de CD-ROM).

(3) Sélectionnez « Handycam » sur l’écran.

The title screen appears.

(4) Move the cursor to “USB Driver” and click. This starts USB driver installation.

(5) Follow the on-screen messages to install the USB driver.

L’écran de titre apparaît.

(4) Placez le curseur sur « USB Driver » et cliquez. L’installation du pilote USB commence.
