Selecting the mode setting of each item z is the default setting.

Menu items differ depending on the position of the POWER switch.

The screen shows only the items you can operate at the moment.

	PROGRAM AE	——	To suit your specific shooting requirement (p. 77)
	P EFFECT	——	To add special effects like those in movies or on the TV
			to images (p. 73, 91)
	RED EYE R	z OFF	Red-eye reduction does not function.
		ON	Preliminary flash before recording prevents red-eye.
	FLASH LVL	HIGH	To make the flash level higher than normal
		z NORMAL	To use the normal setting
		LOW	To make the flash level lower than normal
	WHT BAL	——	To adjust the white balance (p. 66)
	SHARPNESS	——	To adjust the sharpness of the image outline with r/R.
			When the sharpness is manually adjusted, the
			indicator appears.

		To soften	To sharpen
AUTO SHTR	z ON	To automatically activate the electronic shutter* when
		shooting in bright conditions
	OFF	To not automatically activate the electronic shutter*
		even when shooting in bright conditions

* About the electronic shutter

The electronic shutter is the function used to adjust the shutter speed electrically.

Note on FLASH LVL and RED EYE R

You cannot adjust FLASH LVL and RED EYE R if the external flash (optional) is not compatible.
