hard disk drive
A
hardware
The physical components of a computer system. The central processing unit, disks, tape and floppy drives are all hardware.
header
Information that the system creates to identify a message. A message header includes the origi- nator or recipient, type of message, creation time, and delivery time.
help
A command run by pressing HELP or CTRL ? on an INTUITY display terminal to show the
options available at your current screen position. In the INTUITY AUDIX system, press | * | H on |
the telephone keypad to get a list of options. See also |

hertz (Hz)
A measurement of frequency in cycles per second. A hertz is one cycle per second.
host switch
The switch directly connected to the INTUITY system over the data link. Also, the physical link connecting an INTUITY system to a distributed communications system (DCS) network.
hunt group
A group of analog ports on a switch usually administered to search for available ports in a circular pattern.
