Console(T elnetSSH)
Authorizedusers can use Telnet and/or SSH to connect to the
consoleof the connected devicesimultaneously. When multiple
sessionsfeature is configured, simultaneous Telnet and/or SSH
sessionsare allowed through the serial port.
Console(Ra w) Author izedusers can make a Raw Socket connection to the console
ofthe connected device.
Terminal Server(TS) profile connection protocols
When a terminal is conn ected to the serial port of the appl iance, a TSp rofile must be defined
for the serial port.
Selecting the appropriate connectio n protocol on the Ports - Physical Ports - General form is
part of defining the TS profile.
When configu ring serial ports to supp ort terminals, you can:
D edicate a terminal to acc essa single remote server by means of either Teln et, SSHv1,
SSHv2 or Raw Socket connecti ons.
Ena ble a terminal to access multi ple servers through the con sole server.
The TS profile must specify the TCP port number, the terminal ty pe and the IP address for the
remote host on the Ports - Physical Ports - Other form.
The following table describes the c onnection proto cols that can be selected if a terminal is
connected to t he selected serial port.
