a. Enter the IP address of the console server in th e Primary Address field.
b. Enter the netmask in the N etwork Mask field.
c. Enter the address of the second ary console server in the Secondary Address field, if
used.
d. Specify the network mask of the seco ndary IPin the Seconda ryN etwork Mask field.
e. Specify the desired maximum transmission u nit in the Maximum Transmission Unit
field.
4. When finished, c lick apply changes.
To configureI Pv6protocol:
1. If IPv6 is enabled (tab is act ive), select the IPv6 tab. The IPv6 form will be displ ayed.
2. From the DHCPv6 pu ll-down menu, select No ne,DNS,Domai n orD NS-Domain. If DHCP
is selected, then the D HCP options will define th e address configuration information is
retrieved from the DHCPv6 server. DHCP opti ons are:
N one (only the IP address will b e retrieved)
D NS (the DNS address will be retrieved from the DHCPv6 server)
D omain (the domain pa th will be retriev ed from the DHCPv6 server)
D NS-Domain (both DNS server an d domain path will b e retrieved from the DHCPv6
server)
NOTE: Ifeither DNS or DNS- Domain isselected, DNS Service and its associatedfields will not be d isplayed.
3. Under Ethernet Port, co mplete or edit th e following fiel ds as necessary.
a. Choose yo ur configuration meth od from the Method pull-down menu. Choi ces are
Stateless only, Stati c or DHCP.
NOTE: Itis recomme nded that Stateless only be used only when none of the other m ethods is available.This
meansthat local configuration fr om the local router and only the link_localaddress will be available to the ACS 5000
consoleserver.
b. If the DNS Service fields are active (none or D omain DHCP selected in Step 2) and
Static has be en selected under Et hernet Port, enter the Primary DNS server IP add ress.
If there is a backup DNS server, enter th e address of the seconda ry DNS server in the
Secondary DNS server field.
