To daisy-chainPDU s tothe console server:
This procedure assumes tha t you have o ne Avocent PM PDU or Cyclad es IPDU connected t o a
serial port on the consol e server.
NOTE: Daisy-chainingis not possiblew ith SPC power control devices. ServerTech PD Us will allow onlyon e level
(Master and Slave) of daisy chaining.
1. Connect on e end of a UTP cabl e with RJ-45 con nectors to the O UT port of the PDU
connected to t he serial port on the console server.
2. Connect the ot her end of the cable to the IN port of the n ext PDU.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until y ou have connected the desired number of PDUs. Only one
additional level is a llowed with ServerTech PDUs.
