Check DHCP (checked by default) to have the console server pull network parameters from the DHCP server. If this box is not checked (DHCP disabled), the following fields are displayed in the form.

Table 7.3: Network - Host Setting - IPv4 Field Defintions

Field name

Field Definition

Primary Address

Enter the primary IPv4 address of the console server.

Network Mask

Enter the 32-bit number used to group IPv4 addresses together or to indicate

the range of IPv4 addresses for a subnet.

 

Secondary Address

The secondary IPv4 address of the console server. By configuring a second

IPv4 address, the unit will be available for more than one network.

 

Secondary Network Mask

Optional.

MTU

Maximum Transmission Unit used by the TCP protocol.

IPv6 settings

Select Network - Host Settings - IPv6 to navigate to the IPv6 Settings page.

The following table provides definitions of the IPv6 form fields.

Select None, DNS, Domain or DNS-Domainfrom the pull-down menu.

Choosing one selects the options for the information that will be retrieved from

the DHCPv6 server.

None: No further data is retrieved from the server.

DHCPv6

DNS: The DNS server IP address is retrieved from the server.

Domain: The domain path is retrieved from the server.

DNS-Domain: Both the DNS server IP address and the domain path are

retrieved from the server.
