The Access form lists the currently defined users and featu resAd d,Change Password and
Delete butto ns.
In the Users list by default, there is a root account that can not be deleted. The root has access
privileges to al l the web manager’s function ality as well as access to all the serial ports on the
console server.
Click the Add button.
The following ta ble defines the information required in t he fields.
Field name Definit ion
UserN ame The username for the account being added.
Passwordand Re peat
Password The password for the account.
Group
Thechoices in the Group menu ar e Regular U ser [Default] or Admin.
NOTE: To configure a user to be able to perform administrative functions, select
theAdmin group.
Shell Optional.The default shell when the user makes an SSH or a Telnet connection.
Choicesare: sh [D efault] or bash.
Comments Optional notes about the user’s role or configuration.

To add a user:
1. Select Step 3: Access. The A ccess formd isplays.
2. Click Add. The Ad d User dialog b ox appears.
3. Enter the username and password in the User Name and Password fields and enter the
password again in the Repeat Password field .
4. Select from the Group menu optio ns.
a. To create a regular user account witho ut administrator privileges, select Regular User
[Default] from the Group pull-down menu.
b. To create an acco unt with ad ministrator privileges, select Admin from the Grou p pull-
down menu.
5. Enter the default shell i n the Shell field (optional).
