Yes(show me nu)
More than two simultaneoususers can connect to the same serialport.
ASniffer men u is presented to the user and they can choose to:
Opena sniff session
Opena read/w rite session
Cancela connection
Senda message to other user sconnected to the same serialport.
Read/Write (do not show
menu) Read/writesessions are opened and the sniffer menu won ’t be presented.
ReadOnly(do not show
menu) Readon lysessions are opened and the sniffer menu won’t b e presented.
To configuremul tiple sessionsand port sniffing for one or more serialports:
1. Go to Ports - Physical Ports i n Expert mode and select a port or ports to modify.
2. Click the Multi User tab.
3. To allow o r to prevent multi ple sessions, select an option from the Allo w Multiple
Sessions pull-down menu. The opt ions are: No, Yes (show menu), Read/Write (do not
show menu) and ReadOnly .
4. To configure the type o fd ata that displays on the mon itor in a port-sharing session, select
an option from the Sniff Mode pull-down menu.
5. If you have al lowed multiple sessions, complete the follo wing fields.
a. Add user n ames to the Privilege Users field.
b. Enter a hotkey in th e Menu Hotkey field to d isplay the sniffer menu on the monitor.
The default shown is ^z. The caret stands for the Ctrl key.
c. Enable th e Notify Users field, if d esired.
6. Click Done.
7. Click apply changes.

Under Ports - Physical Ports in Expe rt Mode, after you select one o rmore serial ports and cl ick
the Modify Port(s), you can select the Pow erMan agement form fromthe ta bbed menu (it will
