SNMPv1 and v2 only. A Community definesan access environment. The
typeof access isclassifiedunder Permission: either read only or read wr ite.
Them ost common community is public.
NOTE: Take cautionin using a public communitynam e as it is commonly
known.By default, the public communitycannot accessSNM P information
onthe console server.
Source SNMPv1 and v2 only. Valide ntriesar e default or a subnet address, for
example,193.168.44.0/24.
OID ObjectIdentifier. Each managed object has a unique identifier.

To configureSN MP:
1. Go to Networks - SNMP. The SNMP form appears.
2. To enable an y version of SNMP, perform the follo wing:
a. To add an SNMPv1/SNMPv2 en try, press the Add button under the SNMPv1/SNMPv2
Configuration tabl e.
b. To add an SNMPv3 entry, press the Ad d button at the botto mo fth e SNMPv3
Configuration tabl e.The N ew/Modify SNMP Daemon Configuration dialo g box
appears.
3. To edit any SNMP configurati on, perform the following steps.
a. For SNMPv1 or SNMPv2 select the entry from the SNMPv1/SNM Pv2 configuration
list and click th e Edit button.
b. To edit an SNMPv3 entry, select an entry from the SNMPv3 Configuration l ist and
click the Edit bu tton. The New/Mo dify SNMP Daemon Config uration dialog box
appears.
