ICMP protocol fields
If ICMP is selected as a prot ocol, the ICMP Type p ull-down menu is displayed in the ICMP
Options Section at the bot tom of the Firewall Configuration form. Select the ICMP type nee ded
from thelist.
Input interface,output interfaceand fragments
If an interface (such as eth0 or eth1) is entered in th e Input Interface field, incoming packets are
filtered for the specified interface. If an interface is entered in th e Output Interface field,
outgoing packets are fil tered for the specified i nterface. The input and outpu t interface fields are
shown in the foll owing table along w ith the options on t he Fragments pull-down menu.
Field Definitio n
InputInter face The input interface (eth0) for th e packet.
OutputInter face The output interface (eth 0) for the packet.
Inverted Invertingan item negates the selected rules. Rules will applyto everything except the
selectedoptions.
Fragments
Thet ypesof packets to be filtered:
Allpackets
2nd,3r d... fragmented packets
Non-fragmented and 1st fragment ed packets

LOG target
If you select LOG from the Target field, th e fields and menus shown in the follo wing table
appear in the LOG Op tions Section at the bott om oft he form.
