3. To change the connect ion protocol, select a Terminal Server connection from the
Connection Protocol pu ll-down menu, Telnet, SS Hv1, SSHv2, Local Termin al or Raw
Socket.
4. To configure a terminal to automatical ly connect to the console server, perform the
following steps:
a. Select Local Terminal from the Connectio n Protocol pull-dow n menu.
b. Define a terminal profile menu. Terminal Profile Menu form is at Expert - Appl ications
- Terminal Profile Menu.
5. To configure a terminal to aut omatically connect to a server, perform the followi ng steps:
a. Select Telnet,SSH v1,SSHv2 or Raw Socke t fromthe Connecti on Protocol pull -down
menu.
b. Specify authorized users/group san d the authenticatio n method in the Access form.
c. Specify the TCP Port number, the IP address of the remote host and th e terminal type
using the Other form. The Othe r formis located a t Ports - Physical Ports - Modify
Selected Ports - Other.
6. If you are finished, cl ick Done.
7. Click apply changes.
To configurea serial port connection protocol foran external modem:
This procedure assumes that t he selected serial port is ph ysically connected to an e xternal
modem.
1. Go to Ports - Physical Ports i n Expert mode,sel ect a port orp ortst o modify, click the
appropriate Modi fy Ports button. The Gen eral form appears.
