Option

Description

--exclude-read-only

Excludes read-only files.

Note: The read-only attribute does not affect the

behavior of policies or the Explorer plug-in. FMA

will migrate, release, and recall read-only files and

preserve the attribute.

--exclude-archive

Excludes files with an active archive bit.

--exclude-compressed

Excludes files with an active compressed bit.

--ignore-files ignorefile

Excludes file ignorefile. Wildcards like * or ? can

be used.

-Foutlist

Creates a file list (outlist) as output.

To define an operation, specify either an explicit file name or a file list that contains file names. If neither is specified, the FMACLI tries to read the file list from stdin.

Use UNICODE or UTF8 formats whenever possible. The OEM and ANSI formats are for compatibility reasons only and cannot display all character sets.

Example

FMACLI rec myfile.doc

Recalls the myfile.doc file. If this file is saved on multiple archives, FMA pulls it from the archive with the lowest performance index number.
