What is MIDI?

MIDI (Musical Instrument Digit al Interface) is the international standard for digital communi cation of

electronic musical instrument dat a. This means that any equipment which has a MIDI ter minal—such as

electronic musical instruments and person al computers—can easily exchange digital data with other

MIDI equipment without resorting to compli cated conversions or connections.
