Laser/scanner assembly

CAUTION: Do not replace the laser scanner and the formatter PCA at the same time. The settings for the laser scanner are stored in the formatter RAM. When you install a new laser scanner, it reads the settings from the formatter.

Before proceeding, remove the following components:

●Tray 2

●Left cover. See Left cover on page 115.

Remove the laser/scanner assembly

1.Open the front door.

2.On the left side of the product, pinch and remove the fan duct (callout 1), and then disconnect the two flat cables (callout 2).
