Add A New Unit

To add a unit to a Site, right-click in either the Site View tab or the Tree View tab of the Site View pane, or select the unit type you want to add from the Add menu on the Menu Bar as shown below.

The Unit Properties window appears. Unit Properties settings are described in the following sections.

Unit Properties: General Tab

The Unit ID and MAC Address for the selected unit are automatically displayed at the top of the Info section of the tab. When connected, the firmware version, dictionary version, and DSP date versions are displayed in the Versions section at the bottom of the tab (when connected). These settings cannot be modified.

Device Name

Enter a descriptive name in the Device Name field. Device names are used as network identifier on NetBIOS networks. They must start with a letter and can contain both letters and numbers, with a maximum length of 15
