Parameters

<ip addr>a

Ethernet IP address.

<ipnetmask>a

IP subnet mask.

<interface>b,c

Ethernet interface.

aDotted-decimal notation

bThis parameter may be omitted if the router has only one Ethernet interface.

If the router has two physical Ethernet interfaces (an Ethernet hub router), the port number (0 or 1) must be specified.

cTo specify a logical interface other than logical interface 0, specify both the port number and the logical interface number (<port #>:<logical #>, for example, 0:1).

Example

-> eth ip mgmt 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0 0:1

-> save

-> reboot

Response

Command prompt.

eth ip options

Enables or disables an IP option for the specified Ethernet interface. The IP options include:

Options to transmit or receive RIP-1 and/or RIP/2 packets. (see RIP Controls” on page 6-4of the Technical Reference Guide.)

Option to advertise this router as the default router.

Option to enable forwarding of IP multicast traffic.

NOTE:

This command is not effective until after save and reboot commands have been performed.
