dhcp set valueoption

Sets values for global options, options specific to a subnetwork, or options specific to a client lease. For more information, see Setting Option Values” on page 4-8.

Input Format

dhcp set valueoption [<ipaddr><net>] <code> <value>....

Parameters

<ipaddr>a

Specify the client IP address if the option value applies only to the client

 

lease.

<Net>a

Specify the subnetwork IP address if the option value applies only to

 

the subnetwork lease.

<code>b

Code specifying the option to be set.

<value>

Value to be assigned to the specified option. It could be a byte, word,

 

signed long, unsigned long, binary, IP address, or string depending on

 

the option.

aDotted-decimal notation.

bnumber between 1 and 61 or a keyword. Use the command dhcp list definedoptions to list the codes and keywords,

This example command does not specify an client or subnetwork address, and thus sets a global value for the domainnameserver option:

-> dhcp set valueoption domainnameserver 192.168.254.2 192.168.254.3
