10 OUTPUT 723;"GATESWP ON;"
The GATESWP command enables measurements to be gated by a signal that is input to the module's rear-panel EXT TRIG IN connector. When the external trigger input is at a high logic level (TTL), measurement data is used for the display. When the external trigger is low, the displayed sweep continues and trace points are displayed at the bottom of the screen. (The trace data value is loaded with a minimum value.) To properly display the data, use the MXMH command to place the trace in maximum hold.
During zero-span sweeps, gated sweeps can be congured so that the trace points are displayed only when the external trigger signal is high. That is, the sweep stops whenever the trigger signal is low. To use this feature, set the video bandwidth to manual mode (VB MAN). Be aware that this can result in two adjacent points being separated by an unknown amount of time.
