The VARDEF command creates a user-dened variable and assigns it a value. User-dened variables can be used in many of the spectrum-analyzer remote-control processes. Use user-dened variables wherever user-dened variable appears in the syntax diagrams. An error results if a variable name is the same as any reserved word. User-dened variables occupy internal memory. Use the PURGE, FORMAT, or DISPOSE command to clear user-dened variables from memory.
