NSTATE
NSTATE | Set number of state registers. |
| | Item | | Description | | |
| Number | Range | 0 to value | limited by available memory, or | maximum of 20. | |
Example | 10 | OUTPUT 723;"PSTATE | OFF;" | Deactivate state-register | protection. |
| 20 | OUTPUT 723;"NSTATE | 0;" | Specify 0 registers , erasing contents of all registers . |
Description The NSTATE command allocates user memory for the storage of state-register les.
When the number of state-register les is decreased, the higher numbered les are deleted and their contents are lost. Since state-register les occupy large amounts of user memory, conserve memory space by limiting their number. Use the PSTATE command to protect state registers against accidental disposal with the NSTATE, STOR, or SAVES command. PSTATE does not prevent erasure with the ERASE or PURGE command.
The number of state-register les is not aected by instrument preset (IP) or power loss. However, the ERASE command sets the number of les to two after erasing the contents of internal memory. The last-state register, controlled by the POWERON command, does not form a state-register le, and thus is not aected by the NSTATE command. (The last-state register saves the state of the spectrum analyzer before power is removed, depending on the setting of the POWERON function.)
