PERASE

Description

Partially erase internal memory and analyzer settings.

The PERASE command erases all unprotected memory that resides in the spectrum analyzer. PERASE erases internal memory, which contains user-de￿ned variables, traces, functions, on-end-of-sweep algorithms, amplitude-correction factors (AMPCOR), and ￿les. (Refer to the following tables for a complete listing.) PERASE also sets all instrument settings and their associated prede￿ned variables to their preset values, which are all stored in reserved memory.

PERASE does not erase information stored in external memory located on HP-IB or HP-MSIB devices, such as a disk drive or a memory card. PERASE does not erase the serial number, the correction-factor values, 4USER5 keys, or limit-line table parameters from reserved memory.

Various portions of di￿erent memories can be erased or protected against erasure with the commands summarized in the following two tables.
