Description The VAVG command is a digital averaging routine that reduces the noise oor level, but does not aect the sweep time, bandwidth, or any other analog
characteristic of the spectrum analyzer. VAVG operates on either trace A, B, or C,
The averaging function sets the averaging counter to 1, then begins averaging the trace as it sweeps. The active readout indicates the number of sweeps averaged; the default is 100 unless otherwise specied. Increasing the number of sweeps averaged increases the reduction of displayed noise.
