5.3.2Storage Error Codes

Hard Disk Errors

Code Meaning

01Hard disk format error. If this error recurs even if the power has been turned off and then on, reformat the hard disk.

02The disk system is not installed. Recheck the requirements for using the system and the devices.

03Cannot write in the hard disk because write protection is enabled. Disable write protection.

04There is no available hard disk space. Delete unnecessary files, etc., in order to free up space.

05The specified file does not exist in the hard disk.

06There is no memory available to the hard disk system. Increase the available memory.

10Formatting is not possible because host data is being spooled on the hard disk. Wait until the hard disk is ready, and then format.

20The hard disk was installed in the incorrect (OPT1) slot. Reinstall the hard disk in a different (OPT2/HDD) slot.

85VMB: Alias error. The alias setting was lost, or the virtual tray corresponding to the alias does not exist. Set the alias again.

86VMB: Password error. There is no password specified, the password is incorrect, or the pass- word setting is lost. Confirm the correct password.

87VMB: Although an attempt was made to use a virtual tray job stack, the stack size reached the maximum limit.

88VMB: An unreadable job or page was found while outputting the jobs in a virtual tray. The job is damaged.

97The number of permanent code jobs that can be stored reached the limit value, and no more can be saved. Either delete some unnecessary jobs, etc., or increase the limit.

98An unreadable page was found in a job (The job is damaged.).

Memory Card Errors

Code Meaning

01The printer does not support the memory card inserted. The memory card must meet the requirements described in Appendix A Options, section A.3.1 Memory Card on page A-7.

02The memory card is not installed.

03The memory card is write-protected. Cancel the write-protection of the memory card.

04The memory card is full and cannot hold further data. Purge unnecessary files or use a new memory card.

05Specified file is not on the memory card.

06Insufficient printer memory to support the memory card system. Expand printer memory.
