If the -Doption is omitted, then the user's reserved IP address is assigned if it is available (i.e., it exists and is not busy).

In the following example, the user ID defaults to a guest user ID. If a reserved IP address has been allocated for the guest user ID, that is the address assigned; if no reserved IP address is set aside for the guest user ID, then a dynamic address is assigned.

Administration

Routine administration of the LCS60 includes SLIP tasks such as starting or stop- ping SLIP and generating SLIP-specific reports. This section gives some exam- ples of SLIP-specific tasks.
