4:3 mode

Note

Perform this adjustment, if necessary, to suit the custom- er’s preferences.

Preparation

. On the setup menu, set as follows.

PAGE	: S12*FUNCTION 1/2
ITEM	: DETAIL	→ ON
ITEM	: TEST OUT	→ ENC

.Shoot a grayscale chart (4:3) in the full underscanned monitor frame.

Equipment	: Waveform monitor
Test point	: TEST OUT connector
Setting point	: 1Lens IRIS
Spec.	: A = 80 ±2 IRE (NTSC)
	A = 560 ±14 mV (PAL)

Equipment	: Waveform monitor
Test point	: TEST OUT connector
1. Select the 4:3 mode.
PAGE	: S14*WIDE SCREEN
ITEM	: 16:9/4:3 MODE → 4:3
2. On the setup menu, adjust as follows.
PAGE	: S18*LEVEL 1#4:3
ITEM	: DETAIL LVL <4:3>
	(Factory setting: 0)
Spec.	: Adjust the detail amount which is

added to each step in the grayscale chart for the customer’s preferences.

monitor frame.

Test point	: TEST OUT connector
Setting point	: 1Lens IRIS
Spec.	: A = 100	±2 IRE (NTSC)
	A = 700	±14 mV (PAL)

.GAIN switch (inside panel) → M (9 dB)

1. Select the 4:3 mode.

2. On the setup menu, adjust as follows.
PAGE	: S19*LEVEL 2#4:3
ITEM	: K.APT. LVL <4:3>
Spec.	: Adjust the peak-to-peak level of the
	noise at the third steps from the top

(portion B) in the gray-scale chart, as desired. (Reference level is 40 mV)5
